A Turkish staple
What is Pide?
Turkey's beloved boat-shaped flatbread — a regional treasure from the Black Sea coast now baked fresh on Fremont Street
The Boats of the Black Sea
Pide originates from Turkey's Black Sea region, where bakers shape dough into elegant boat forms and fill them with everything from minced meat to local cheeses. The name comes from the Greek "pita" — but Turkish pide has evolved into something entirely its own: a thick, chewy flatbread with raised edges that cradle generous fillings.
Every region of Turkey has its own pide tradition. In Bafra, it's filled with minced meat; in Trabzon, the dough is closed like a calzone. At Istanbul Mediterranean 2, we honor these traditions while making pide accessible to Las Vegas diners with six distinct varieties.
Six Varieties, One Tradition
Our pide menu ranges from the classic Cheese Pide ($14.95) — a simple celebration of melted cheese in golden dough — to our fan-favorite Doner & Cheese Pide ($19.95), which combines sliced beef and lamb doner with melted cheese for an unforgettable combination.
For something with a kick, try the Sujuk & Cheese Pide ($17.95), featuring spicy Turkish sausage. Each pide is hand-shaped and baked fresh to order, arriving at your table golden and bubbling.
